Responsible for managing all aspects of the sales functions in an efficient and effective manner, this position services a defined customer list within Central Alberta. The Sales Representative will manage the profitability of these customers, and the products that are distributed within this territory. The Sales Representative will also be responsible for calling on new customers within the defined territory. Job Duties: Meet and exceed budgeted volume targets. Assist the R&D Manager in all functions related to Improving existing product lines. Developing new product lines Product awareness with in-house staff. Co-ordinating samples, organoleptic testing, in-house taste testing. Product formulations in front kitchen and in production Recipe analysis (ingredient sub-lists) Labeling/allergen control Purchasing/control of raw materials Data entry/control/tracking using a variety of computer programs which include: MS Office, Outlook, Distributec (inventory management system). 2.) Quality Program Assist/enforce all quality standards established Conduct routine quality checks with production Monitor/track quality efficiencies. 3.) Occupational Health and Safety Ensure familiarity with all Provincial and Federal Acts and Regulations, which include Occupational Health and Safety Acts and Regulations. 4.) CFIA Monitor/apply/track all product applications to CFIA Monitor all product files for completeness. 5.) Skill Requirements Completion of high school/college. CEGEP, vocational or technical training. Cook Red Seal Certification, Safe Food Handling certificate. 2 years to less than 3 years Languages speak, read and write English. 6.) Food Preparation Specializations Bakery goods, meat & poultry. 7.) Specific Skills Estimate food requirements, food and labor costs, create new recipes. Maintain records of food costs.
