As a privately owned and operated company, the Nossack legacy found a new home in Red Deer, Alberta when the Nossack family immigrated to Canada from Frankfurt, Germany in 1982. Owners Karsten and Ingrid Nossack are proud of this heritage and continue to work hard to preserve it in their quality meat products.
Trained by his parents, Karsten graduated as an import/export trader. Like his father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, he has also achieved professional certification as a master butcher and sausage maker.
Nossack Fine Meats Ltd. is also very fortunate to have a hard working, highly skilled team of employees who recognize the importance of serving the customer with quality products.
In April 2001, Nossack Fine Meats received HACCP recognition. In 2004, The Alberta Food Processors Association chose Karsten & Ingrid Nossack to jointly receive the third annual AFPA Industry Builder award in recognition of their contribution to the growth of the Alberta food-processing industry.
2003 brought further exciting changes when Nossack moved part of the company into a newly built 40,000 square foot distribution center that can hold 2.27 million kg of food products.
Nossack Fine Meats Limited has expanded its operations to markets across the world. One look at the company's impressive rate of growth clearly signals the bright future of the company in the years to come.
